Does “End Lakeview Racism” support blacks who experience racism living in Uptown but paying Lakeview Taxes? I am a single black who owns a unit in an Uptown three flat. The other two owners often ignore my input and exclude me from building decisions. They pretend not to understand my written and verbal communication. For years they express no interest in repairs and upkeep to common areas on the third level where I live. They also feel privileged to control building yards, basement and porch areas. When I request respect or point out inequitable treatment during meeting they accuse me of starting conflict or pretend they don’t know what I’m saying to shut me down. Times that I have collected estimates for repairs, they find fault, scrutinized and push back. But they will hired contractors on the spot, who are personal friends or their preference, sometimes without my knowing. Their attitude is “what I want” vs. “We” or what‘s best for good of all. I need help to at least clearly express what racism behavior is and how it is played out toward me. Please respond! Thanks
